Jason Ball

*Our Maritime Person of the Year award is being awarded posthumously to our great friend CDR Thomas Wright, USN (retired). We lost Tom unexpectedly this past January. He leaves behind a legacy in both the maritime and veterans’ communities. Tom worked behind the scenes and was the glue that held so many organizations together. He gave decades of service to the Savannah Maritime Association, Propeller Club, Navy League, and Veteran’s Council.

Starting next year, our club will annually remember Tom’s legacy with a new scholarship, the Tom Wright Memorial Scholarship.
